POST-COLLISION CARE · MOVEMENT & RECOVERY
Care after a crash, focused on getting you moving again.
A collision can make everyday tasks difficult—from turning your head while driving to sitting, sleeping and returning to work. Our assessment considers your symptoms, mobility and movement patterns so your care has clear, practical goals.

Begin with a detailed movement assessment.
Understand your injury
We discuss the collision, your symptoms, relevant medical findings and the activities that have become difficult. Movement assessment helps identify the tasks that need attention.
Choose appropriate care
Your clinician explains whether acupuncture, Chuna-informed manual care or exercise guidance is appropriate for your presentation. The treatment plan and insurance eligibility are considered separately: a service must be eligible in its own right to be billed under a benefit.
Review practical progress
Follow-up visits review the movements and daily activities that matter to you, helping us decide when to modify your care or discuss further assessment.

Your first 12 weeks after a crash.
Eligible patients have access to up to 12 pre-approved acupuncture treatments within the first 12 weeks after a crash, without a doctor's referral or separate ICBC approval for those initial treatments. Ask us to confirm the available appointment type, billing arrangements and any fees before your visit.
If recovery takes longer.
When additional treatment is needed, your treating provider can communicate the treatment plan and progress with your ICBC recovery specialist. Additional care requires the appropriate authorization; it is not an automatic extension of the initial benefit.

Bring the details that help us plan your care.
Bring your ICBC claim number, Personal Health Number and collision date, along with relevant medical reports, a list of current medications and details of treatment you are receiving elsewhere. Tell us which daily activities are most difficult so that the assessment can focus on practical recovery goals.

Your questions,
answered.
A clear next step starts with the information you need.
Do I need a doctor's referral for acupuncture?
Eligible patients do not need a doctor's referral for the initial pre-approved acupuncture treatments during the first 12 weeks after the crash. For care outside that period, contact your provider and ICBC recovery specialist.
Does an acupuncture approval include Chuna, osteopathy or herbal products?
Not automatically. Coverage is confirmed for the specific service. We explain the proposed treatment and fees before care begins.
What should I bring?
Your claim number, Personal Health Number, collision date, relevant medical reports and a list of current medications and other treatment providers.
Can I start with an assessment?
Yes. Tell our team the collision date and the main difficulties you are experiencing so we can help arrange an appropriate appointment.
Make your next step a clear one.
Contact Burnaby, Langley or Downtown Vancouver to discuss your post-collision appointment.
